Speedo, one of the biggest swimsuit makers in the world, just had a huge news conference to debut their new swimsuits for the upcoming Summer Olympics. These new swimsuits are built for speed and a lot of people think that these new swimsuits will help some records be broken. Speedo says that there is new technology within these swimsuits that will help increase the speed of any swimmer. If you are like me you are most likely thinking to yourself is there really a science in a swimsuit that helps you swim faster? Well according to Speedo the new technology is based on three parts working together, from the cap down to the knees, not just the suit itself. One of the people that was modeling the new swimsuit was Michael Phelps who is the top swimmer in the world. When reporters interviewed him about the new Speedo swimsuit he said that he does help his overall speed and he loves. Well I guess we will have to wait till the Summer Olympics to see how much of an improvement these swimsuits will provide to the world's top swimmers.
